The powering Dane took the lead with more than 100km to go and never looked back.<\/p>\n<p>Kl\u00f6ser\u2019s decisive attack came a little later when she gapped Axelle Dubau-Pr\u00e9vot inside the final hours of racing.<\/p>\n<p>The multi-distance Traka is considered Europe\u2019s answer to Unbound, and is a key stop in the Gravel Earth series.<\/p>\n<p>The headlining Traka 360 event is a beast, stacking 3,600 meters of elevation gain into its 325km romp across the hills of Girona, Spain.<\/p>\n<p>The gravel elite typically splits itself between the Traka 360 and the Traka 200, which rolls out Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Specialized goes 1-3 with Schmidt and Beers<br \/>\n<img alt=\"Mads Wurst Schmidt rode solo for hours for a marquee win at Traka 360\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1200\" height=\"988\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-984680\" style=\"color:transparent\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Traka360_FInish-1-1200x988.jpg\"\/>Mads Wurst Schmidt rode solo for hours for a marquee win. (Photo: Sergi Romeu \/ The Traka)<\/p>\n<p>Schmidt hit the turbos with around 100km to go and never turned them off for his course record win.<\/p>\n<p>Specialized Off-Road\u2019s dynamo Dane powered away from a lead group after more than seven hours of racing and hung tough to clinch an 11-minute victory.<\/p>\n<p>Hugo Drechou spent hours dangling less than 5 minutes back but didn\u2019t have the legs to make the bridge to the relentless former road pro.<\/p>\n<p>The Frenchman placed second, with Schmidt\u2019s Specialized teammate <a target=\"_self\" class=\"text-brand-primary underline hover:text-brand-primary\/85 break-words overflow-wrap-anywhere underline-offset-[3px]\" data-afl-p=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/velo.outsideonline.com\/tag\/matt-beers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Matt Beers<\/a> in third.<\/p>\n<p>Beers, who counts four victories at Cape Epic on his palmares, pulled away from Benjamin Perry, Paul Voss, and recently retired WorldTour pro Romain Bardet in the final.<\/p>\n<p>The dirt was dry, warm, and fast on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Racing on near-perfect conditions and on a course that\u2019s seen repeated tweaks, Schmidt became the first rider to break the 10-hour barrier with his winning time of 9:57.<\/p>\n<p>His huge course record blows away the mark from 2025 when Tobias Kongstad won a cool, damp race in 11:37. Kongstad finished 7th on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Schmidt did the \u201cThe Traka Double\u201d with his 360 victory Friday after he won Traka 200 last year.<\/p>\n<p>The 31-year-old now boasts one of the most stacked palmares in gravel. (Photo: Sergi Romeu \/ The Traka)<\/p>\n<p>Kl\u00f6ser added another line to her substantial record with her victory on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The German won Unbound 200 in 2024, hit the podium of the Traka 200 the last two years in a row, and dominated the Gravel Earth Series in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>And as if that\u2019s not enough, the 29-year-old only recently finished racing the cobbled classics with Women\u2019s WorldTour team Canyon-SRAM Zondacrypto.<\/p>\n<p>Kl\u00f6ser got away with her road-gravel rival Axelle Dubau-Pr\u00e9vot after around 100km of racing, and they went bar-to-bar for hours of dusty rolling hills.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"2080\" height=\"1186\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-984681\" style=\"color:transparent\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Traka360_FInish-25.jpg\"\/>Kl\u00f6ser won the women\u2019s Traka 360 in front of a packed crowd.
