The &#8220;Design for Disassembly&#8221; class at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fh-joanneum.at\/institut\/industrial-design\/\" style=\"background-color: transparent; font-size: 1.1em;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Institute of Industrial Design<\/a> at Austria&#8217;s FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences, Graz, tasks students with doing better than the industry.<\/p>\n<p id=\"91caa9_2112\" data-ic-marker=\"bc3679_3950\">Industrial Design student <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/moritz_roland_\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Roland Moritz<\/a> answered this assignment with his Open:Wash project.<\/p>\n<p id=\"5d3b96_4579\" data-ic-marker=\"7e6556_1144\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1832486_81_143963_Ex0m4LM5L.jpg\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>Open:Wash is a modular kit-based washing machine designed with a clear focus on repairability and openness.<\/p>\n<p id=\"37afe6_5779\" data-ic-marker=\"6a8932_4373\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1832481_81_143963_NYYsbPMos.jpg\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>Discreet, integrated prompts regularly guide users through the machine&#8217;s care and maintenance.<\/p>\n<p id=\"51f0c8_375\" data-ic-marker=\"ac6eef_2495\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1832484_81_143963__zSDNEcMs.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"3b610a_563\" data-ic-marker=\"268684_3968\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1832487_81_143963_XljY5AK6S.jpg\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>Innovative technical solutions replace complex assemblies, significantly reducing the number of potential failure points and the risk of breakdowns.
