Emergency crews were called to the scene at 4 a.m. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A single-vehicle crash that sparked a fire in Scarborough this morning has shut down part of Highway 401, as cleanup efforts continue to get underway. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The crash, involving a transport truck was initially announced just before 4:30 a.m. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/OPP_GTATraffic\/status\/2050535533814624729?s=20\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"https:\/\/x.com\/OPP_GTATraffic\/status\/2050535533814624729?s=20\">post to social media<\/a>, Ontario Provincial Police revealed westbound express lanes were closed at Morningside Avenue, while the collector lanes were shut down at McCowan Road. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Eastbound express lanes were also blocked at Brimley Road while crews worked to extinguish the fire, though crews confirmed shortly after 5 a.m. that all lanes had reopened.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Meanwhile, westbound express lanes from Morningside Avenue remain closed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">There is no word on any injuries. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Drivers heading out for the morning commute are advised to use alternate routes and expect delays in the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">This is a developing news story, more details to come&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A clean-up is underway after a tractor-trailer caught fire on Highway 401.
