But compared to previous years, many of the newest releases haven\u2019t quite displaced the best models from 2023\u20132024. For players who enjoy a heavier, more demanding racquet, the Nordic Dots Model 98 Pro<\/a> stands out. It\u2019s one of the best control frames available right now, but the 310g weight means it\u2019s better suited to advanced players with solid technique and physical conditioning.<\/p>\n Other notable mentions include:<\/p>\n One trend worth noting: some newer control racquets are becoming more muted and dampened. It strikes a rare balance between spin, control, and feel. Despite newer releases, it\u2019s still the go-to choice and hard to replace.<\/p>\n Similarly, the Yonex VCORE 98 (2023) continues to outperform its 2026 update in terms of feel and responsiveness.<\/p>\n The newer iterations:<\/p>\n \u2026haven\u2019t quite delivered the same magic. The Aero line feels slightly metallic and less connected, while the VCORE feels a bit slower through the air with reduced comfort compared to its predecessor.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re open to less mainstream options:<\/p>\n But overall, the takeaway is clear: don\u2019t overlook older models. Some of the best spin racquets<\/a> right now are not the newest ones.<\/p>\n Power Racquets<\/p>\n This category is more straightforward. There are clear winners, and they\u2019ve been consistent.<\/p>\n The standout is the Babolat Pure Drive 100<\/a>. It\u2019s arguably the best version of the Pure Drive ever made\u2014powerful, relatively comfortable, and surprisingly controlled for a frame in this category.<\/p>\n Challenging it is the Mizuno AcroSpeed 100<\/a>, which offers a more dampened, arm-friendly response. If you like the Pure Drive concept but want more comfort, this is a compelling option.<\/p>\n In the 98 sq inch segment, the Yonex Ezone 98<\/a> stands out. It delivers easy power, excellent slice performance, and strong all-court playability. It offers a balance of spin, control, and power, making it popular across different levels \u2013 including on the pro tour.<\/p>\n Other options include:<\/p>\n Yonex Percept 100D<\/a> \u2013 control-oriented but more forgiving<\/p>\n Prince Tour 100P (2026 version, review to come) \u2013 a classic-feeling, flexible all-rounder<\/p>\n These frames are ideal if you don\u2019t want to commit fully to one category and prefer a more adaptable setup.<\/p>\n Easy-to-Use & Fun Racquets<\/p>\n Not every racquet needs to be about maximum performance. Some are simply about enjoyment.<\/p>\n The Head Extreme One (Head \u201cSquared\u201d) is one of the most fun racquets tested this year. It\u2019s ultra head-light, highly maneuverable, and brings a unique feel that encourages creativity on court.<\/p>\n Another standout is the Solinco Blackout 110<\/a>.
