A former sparring partner of British boxing<\/a> pair Anthony Joshua<\/a> and Tyson Fury<\/a> has had his say on which of the two he thinks punches the hardest<\/a>, with his answer one that is sure to cause controversy.<\/p>\n

One of the most prominent figures on the boxing sparring scene, Dave Allen, has trained some of the most high-profile men in the sport, with the likes of Oleksandr Usyk<\/a> and Wladimir Klitschko<\/a> other big names who have laced up their gloves with him in training camps prior to their fights, so his comments carry weight.<\/p>\n

Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua Finally Set to Happen<\/p>\n

Fury and Joshua are set to finally do battle at the tail end of the year, provided Joshua can overcome Kristian Prenga<\/a> in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. November had been circled as a potential date for the highly anticipated “Battle of Britain” should he come away from his 25th of July bout with a win.<\/p>\n

The Gypsy King called out AJ<\/a> after returning from retirement for the fifth time to dispatch of Russian boxer Arslanbek Makhmudov by virtue of a unanimous decision<\/a> at Tottenham Hostpur Stadium and wasted little time in reigniting his feud with the fellow British heavyweight when he called out AJ on the night.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old even suggested he would once more walk away from the sport if a deal to fight Joshua did not materialise, stating that it was “either him or I’m gone.”<\/p>\n

And now with the fight set to take place, Dua Lipa appearance or not<\/a>, the man with an up close and personal experience with both men has had his say on which of the pair hits the hardest in a video provided by Matchroom Boxing.<\/p>\n

Who Hits Harder: Fury or Joshua<\/p>\n

In the social media post that quickly made the rounds, The White Rhino was asked a series of questions with the option of picking one of Joshua, Usyk, or Fury as his answer.<\/p>\n

In the case of who punched hardest, he did not hesitate to name Tyson Fury as the man with the most powerful punch.<\/p>\n

Oleksandr Usyk has fought both Brits twice, and defeated them both times, so he knows better than anyone about the pair.<\/p>\n

Although Joshua may have lost out in that regard, Allen did give him credit as the heavyweight with the fastest hands. Although the former two-time unified heavyweight champion is unlikely to be best pleased at being named the boxer he would most like to face.<\/p>\n

An official date is yet to be penned in for 2026 that would finally see AJ and The Gypsy King face off inside the ring.
