Hubert Hurkacz<\/a> will aim to return to the winner\u2019s circle Sunday at the ATP Challenger 175 event in Cagliari.<\/p>\n \nThe former World No. 6 advanced to the Sardegna Open<\/a> final Saturday when he rallied past fourth seed Roman Andres Burruchaga<\/a> 4-6, 7-6(3), 6-3.<\/p>\n \nSeeking to find his best form again after undergoing arthroscopic right knee surgery last July, the Pole arrived in Cagliari with an 8-10 season record across all levels. He defeated fan favourite Matteo Berrettini<\/a> in the quarter-finals, a rematch of their 2021 Wimbledon<\/a> semi-final. Hurkacz will next play his first final at any level since last year\u2019s runner-up finish at the ATP 250 in Geneva.<\/p>\n \nHis opponent will be Matteo Arnaldi<\/a>, who overcame fellow Italian Gianluca Cadenasso<\/a> 1-6, 6-1, 6-0 in the last four.<\/p>\n \n“It was my fourth match in four days, I hadn’t played this much in a long time,\u201d Arnaldi said post match in Italian. \u201cThis tournament is giving me a lot. Matches, confidence, rhythm \u2014 and my footwork has been improving over the course of the week. It was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to be competitive again and being able to play in a final again is very important.\u201d<\/p>\n \nSimilar to Hurkacz, Arnaldi entered this week aiming to build confidence after starting the season with a 2-8 match record. The Belgian, who is No. 39 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings, would climb to a new career high should he win the Open Aix Provence Cr\u00e9dit Agricole<\/a>.
