WHITEWATER, Wis.–The College of New Jersey won its first Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Men\u2019s Tennis Championship (presented by Culver\u2019s) with a 4-2 triumph over UW-Whitewater at Warhawk Outdoor Tennis Complex on May 2.

\n\u00a0

\nThe College of New Jersey (15-5) claimed the conference\u2019s automatic NCAA bid with the victory. It will be the first NCAA appearance for the Lions since 2019.

\nUW-Whitewater picked up the doubles point after wins from Theo Billson & Carter Micheals, who posted a 6-2 victory over at No. 1, and Julius Jonsson & Charles Morgan had a 6-2 win at No. 3.

\nBillson, made it 2-0 in favor of the hosts with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Alberto Thomas at No. 1, but the Lions roared back with Brett Schuster\u2019s 6-2, 6-1\u00a0triumph at No. 6, and Harrison-Maitland-Carter collected a 6-1, 6-2 win over Charles Morgan at No. 2.

\nRookie Faris Shehata\u00a0put the Lions on the cusp by downing Carter Michaels 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4 before Nathan Chan\u00a0clinched the championship point with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Andrew Dumbauld at No. 3.
