He will be chasing his second consecutive Cup Series victory after earning his career first last Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt feels pretty good right now, it\u2019s so awesome,\u201d Hocevar said. \u201c\u2026I knew we were going out last and I was like, man, I really wanted to get the pole again and be the last car. I didn\u2019t expect to steal it from our teammate. You know, it\u2019s just the coolest thing when I was a fan, for sure, when the last car goes out and steals it at the last second.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA testament to all the Spire guys, though. This is a front row; this is a team effort here. Two cars on the front row right after a win so hopefully we can do it at a non-superspeedway now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Suarez helped Spire Motorsports to a front-row sweep with his lap of 191.320 mph (28.225 secs.) in the No. 7 Chevrolet. It is a season-best starting position \u2013 topping fourth at Phoenix \u2013 and also marks his best qualifying effort in 14 visits to Texas Motor Speedway.<\/p>\n<p>RFK Racing\u2019s Chris Buescher, a native of Prosper, Texas, qualified third in his No. 17 Ford with a lap of 190.981 mph (28.275 secs.). The starting position is a season best and second-best effort in 17 appearances at TMS, only bettered by a second in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Joe Gibbs Racing rounded out the top five qualifiers with Denny Hamlin taking fourth (190.786 mph, 28.304 secs.) and teammate Chase Briscoe fifth (190.786 mph, 28.304 secs.).
