Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> has revealed that he has obtained his Italian citizenship amid his feud with U.S. President Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The late-night talk show host, 57, shared the news on The Sarah Silverman Podcast<\/a> and said he is considering leaving the United States as they discussed the country in Trump\u2019s second term.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people I know are thinking about where are they going to get citizenship,\u201d Silverman said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did get Italian citizenship. I do have that,\u201d Kimmel said. \u201cWhat\u2019s going on is \u2026 as bad as you thought it was gonna be, it\u2019s so much worse. It\u2019s just unbelievable. I feel like it\u2019s probably even worse than [Trump] would like it to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel said that he thinks there\u2019s a lot of people who are criticizing Trump now after previously supporting him in past elections.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are a lot of people \u2026 now you see these clips of Joe Rogan<\/a> saying, \u2018Why\u2019s he doing this? He shouldn\u2019t be deporting people.\u2019 People go, \u2018F\u2013k you, you supported him.\u2019 I don\u2019t buy into that. I don\u2019t believe \u2018F\u2013k you, you supported him,’\u201d Kimmel said. \u201cI think the door needs to stay open. If you want to change your mind, that\u2019s so hard to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cIf you want to admit you were wrong, that\u2019s so hard and so rare to do. You are welcome.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Jimmy Kimmel Live! host was making reference to podcaster Rogan who spoke out against Trump\u2019s<\/a> deportation policies in April, saying, \u201cYou\u2019ve got to get scared that people who are not criminals are getting, like, lassoed up and deported and sent to El Salvador prisons.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel\u2019s comments came one week after Trump doubled down on his claims that Kimmel is \u201cnext\u201d<\/a> to lose his show following the cancellation of The Late Show with\u00a0Stephen Colbert<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During a press conference at the White House last Wednesday, Real America\u2019s Voice reporter Brian Glenn asked Trump about reports that radio host Howard Stern may part ways with Sirius XM after his contract expires in the fall.<\/p>\n

Glenn went on to ask if the \u201chate Trump\u201d comedy was losing popularity with American audiences.<\/p>\n

In his response, Trump used the example of the recent cancellation of\u00a0The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/a>\u00a0and added that he believes Kimmel and Fallon are next.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, it hasn\u2019t worked,\u201d Trump replied. \u201cAnd it hasn\u2019t worked, really, for a long time, and I would say pretty much from the beginning. Colbert has no talent. I mean, I could take anybody here. I could go outside in the beautiful streets and pick a couple of people that do just as well or better. They\u2019d get higher ratings than he did. He\u2019s got no talent.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFallon has no talent. Kimmel has no talent. They\u2019re next. They\u2019re going to be going. I hear they\u2019re going to be going. I don\u2019t know, but I would imagine because they\u2019d get \u2014 you know, Colbert has better ratings than Kimmel or Fallon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump\u00a0made a similar statement on Truth Social<\/a>\u00a0after\u00a0Colbert\u2019s show was cancelled last month<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He criticized Kimmel and claimed he has \u201cabsolutely NO TALENT\u201d while warning that his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, is next on the chopping block.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe word is, and it\u2019s a strong word at that, Jimmy Kimmel is NEXT to go in the untalented Late Night Sweepstakes, and shortly thereafter, Fallon will be gone,\u201d Trump wrote on Truth Social on July 22.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are people with absolutely NO TALENT, who were paid Millions of Dollars for, in all cases, destroying what used to be GREAT Television. It\u2019s really good to see them go, and I hope I played a major part in it!\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel responded by sharing a screenshot of Trump\u2019s post on Instagram with the caption: \u201cI\u2019m hearing you\u2019re next. Or maybe it\u2019s just another wonderful secret\u201d \u2014 a reference to a Wall Street Journal report<\/a>, published July 17, that claimed Trump had written the phrase to\u00a0Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>\u00a0in a letter for his 50th birthday in 2003.<\/p>\n
