There will be closures of the emergency departments in Thessalon and Richards Landing this week due to physician shortages.<\/p>\n
The North Shore Health Network says the Thessalon Site emergency room will shut down at 8 a.m. on Monday, May 4. It is\u00a0not scheduled to reopen until 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6.<\/p>\n
The Richards Landing \u2013 Matthews Site emergency room will shut down at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5. It is not scheduled to reopen until 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6.<\/p>\n
Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should still call 9-1-1. Ambulances will be re-routed.<\/p>\n
