The Cardinal improves to 19-8 on the season.<\/p>\n<p>Stanford advances to its fifth consecutive NCAA Super Regional, four of which have come with regional wins on the road. Texas A&amp;M joins Harvard (2022), Columbia (2023) and Oklahoma (2024) in dropping home regionals as a seeded team to the Cardinal over the past five seasons \u2013 no other program in college tennis has more than one road regional win over the five-year stretch.<\/p>\n<p>For the second straight battle to open the NCAA Championship Stanford had to come from behind after dropping the doubles point. <a href=\"https:\/\/gostanford.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/player\/samir-banerjee\" title=\"Samir Banerjee\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Samir Banerjee<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/gostanford.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/player\/jagger-leach\" title=\"Jagger Leach\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jagger Leach<\/a> fought to a 7-5 victory on court three, but Stanford was outlasted in the top two positions to give Texas A&amp;M an early lead.<\/p>\n<p>The momentum shifted Stanford\u2019s way in singles, with the Cardinal obtaining four first sets. Banerjee finished off an unblemished weekend in singles with a clinical 6-1, 6-1 victory on court two, his third victory in a row. <a href=\"https:\/\/gostanford.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/player\/hudson-rivera\" title=\"Hudson Rivera\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hudson Rivera<\/a> gave Stanford its first lead in the match at 2-1 with a 6-3, 6-3 victory on court four, giving the junior his 15th singles win of the season. Texas A&amp;M responded with a win on court five to tie the match at 2-2.<\/p>\n<p>After winning a 9-7 tiebreaker in his first set, <a href=\"https:\/\/gostanford.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/player\/nico-godsick\" title=\"Nico Godsick\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nico Godsick<\/a> earned a 6-3 second set victory to give Stanford an advantage it would not relinquish, with Godsick tallying his 12th win of the season.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gostanford.com\/sports\/mens-tennis\/roster\/player\/alex-razeghi\" title=\"Alex Razeghi\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alex Razeghi<\/a> provided Stanford the clinching point, his sixth of the season, with his 21st victory of the season, 6-4, 7-5.
