{"id":647561,"date":"2026-05-04T17:02:09","date_gmt":"2026-05-04T17:02:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/647561\/"},"modified":"2026-05-04T17:02:09","modified_gmt":"2026-05-04T17:02:09","slug":"osaic-targets-organic-growth-after-firm-integration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/647561\/","title":{"rendered":"Osaic Targets Organic Growth After Firm Integration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">In the wake of private equity firm Reverence Capital Partners\u2019 <a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/ibd-news\/reverence-capital-partners-closes-2b-osaic-recapitalization\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">$2 billion recapitalization of Osaic<\/a> (in which Reverence retained its majority stake while bringing in Bain Capital as a new investor), Osaic is focusing on organic growth as a key growth driver.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">During Osaic\u2019s NXT Conference in Boston, Dimple Shah, an executive vice president of strategy and client experience at Osaic, said there was \u201cso much opportunity,\u201d noting a lot of the firm\u2019s growth to date has been through M&amp;A.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">But after Osaic\u2019s rebranding integration of its eight affiliated broker\/dealers into one structure (called \u201cJourney to One\u201d by the firm), Shah said the IBD was starting \u201cto turn on the organic growth engine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">\u201cIt hasn\u2019t not been there, but I don\u2019t think it\u2019s been there to the extent that we\u2019re punching at or above our weight, relative to the size and scale of Osaic, right?\u201d she said. \u201cI mean, we\u2019ve been recruiting, but I think that recruiting can grow even stronger.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-component=\"related-article\" class=\"RelatedArticle\">Related:<a class=\"RelatedArticle-RelatedContent\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/ibd-news\/lpl-investing-in-ai-to-prop-the-advisor-up-\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">LPL Investing in AI to \u2018Prop the Advisor Up\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">In an interview with\u00a0Wealth Management\u00a0about Reverence Capital\u2019s recapitalization, Shannon Reid, the firm\u2019s head of advisor growth and engagement,\u00a0<a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/career-moves\/osaic-hires-shannon-reid-as-head-of-advisor-growth\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">who joined from Raymond James late last year<\/a>, said the firm was \u201cback to doing business the way we want to be doing business\u201d post-integration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">\u201cIn the last 18 months, two years, advisors continued to grow, but I would say Osaic, as a firm, as it was consolidating through that process, was not focused on advisor growth and organic growth, right?\u201d Reid said. \u201cWe were focused on building the foundation for much faster and better growth after the fact.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Reverence\u00a0<a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/wealth-management-industry-trends\/reverence-to-take-75-stake-in-advisor-group\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">first took a majority stake in Osaic<\/a>\u00a0(then called Advisor Group) in 2019. The new deal raised more than $2 billion in fresh capital, allowing it to repay existing investors in the PE firm\u2019s funds while committing money to Osaic\u2019s balance sheet through a continuation vehicle.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">The governance and board composition will remain the same, and the firms didn\u2019t disclose what Osaic\u2019s valuation was in the deal. The lead investors in the deal include Ares Secondaries funds, Lexington Partners and other institutional investors.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Reverence also committed capital from its current flagship Fund IV, with Osaic planning to use the money for organic growth, mergers and acquisitions and \u201cother strategic initiatives.\u201d According to Reid, the firm didn\u2019t have any large acquisitions in its pipeline (though it remained \u201copportunistic,\u201d she said).<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Firm executives have acknowledged the difficulties of the integration, with Reid noting during her presentation at the conference that the integration was \u201cpretty bold, and it was really necessary, but it was also really hard,\u201d adding advisors \u201cfelt that in your businesses, in your teams, and in your day-to-day work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-component=\"related-article\" class=\"RelatedArticle\">Related:<a class=\"RelatedArticle-RelatedContent\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wealthmanagement.com\/ibd-news\/reverence-capital-partners-closes-2b-osaic-recapitalization\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Reverence Capital Partners Closes $2B Osaic Recapitalization<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">At points, recruiting and retention took hits, with several sizable teams opting to depart, including a $1 billion-plus Florida-based office of supervisory jurisdiction, which moved to Ausdal Financial Partners, and Pilot Financial, a $4.6 billion firm, which moved to LPL.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">According to Shah, the tide has turned, with \u201cvery strong\u201d recruiting and retention numbers.
