Manitoba RCMP say five people were injured in a collision along Highway 3, just south of Sanford \u2014 around 25 km southeast of Winnipeg \u2014 on Friday.<\/p>\n
Emergency crews responded immediately following the report, and when they arrived at the scene, they learned that a vehicle that was heading north on the highway had swerved all over the road before colliding head-on with a vehicle that was traveling south.<\/p>\n
A 52-year-old man who was driving the southbound vehicle was treated for minor, non-life-threatening injuries. His two 14-year-old daughters, who were passengers in the vehicle, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They remain in hospital.<\/p>\n
Both the driver \u2014 a 25-year-old man \u2014 and the passenger \u2014 a 19-year-old woman \u2014 of the northbound vehicle were also taken to hospital in critical condition. RCMP notes they are still in critical condition.<\/p>\n
