Bethenny Frankel, one of the most famous Real Housewives of New York City alums, often shares her opinions on everything from style and pop culture to freaky skin conditions<\/a> and Skinnygirl vodka recipes.<\/p>\n

On May 2, however, Frankel switched roles with her fans, as many of the Bravo star\u2019s followers\u20144 million and 3.4 million on Instagram and TikTok, respectively\u2014weighed in on her outfits instead.<\/p>\n

Frankel, 55, shared an Instagram<\/a> post from the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix 2026, which featured photos from her weekend in Florida and shots of what she wore to the event.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is built for speed\u2026.until the wheels \ud83d\udede come off,\u201d she wrote in the caption. She encouraged followers to \u201ccomment BARBIE\u201d in order to receive a link to buy the look: a pink plaid Guizio skort-and-bustier set and matching pink Givenchy heels.<\/p>\n

However, rather than flocking to add the look to their carts, followers\u2019 responses were less than enthusiastic about the ensemble.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust [because] you can doesn\u2019t mean you should,\u201d one person wrote, while another added, \u201cJust because it fits, doesn\u2019t mean you should wear it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u200bOthers were quick to shame Frankel for the outfit, citing her age as the factor they felt disqualified her from wearing the look. \u201cWay too old for that outfit,\u201d one commenter said, adding, \u201cYou have a great body, but dress appropriately!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Another shared the negative sentiment and suggested the outfit was made for someone much younger, asking, \u201cDid you borrow that from your daughter?\u201d<\/p>\n

Frankel shares one child, 15-year-old Bryn Hoppy, with her ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, who appeared with Frankel on The Real Housewives of New York City and now works in real estate.<\/p>\n

The reception on TikTok wasn\u2019t much better: Below the video<\/a> in which Frankel discussed each part of her outfit, she wrote the caption, \u201cF1 [outfit of the day] for you Nosy Bs.\u201d The so-called \u201cNosy Bs\u201d in Frankel\u2019s comments were similarly unimpressed by the reality TV personality\u2019s $342 skort <\/a>and tank<\/a> combo.<\/p>\n

One wrote, \u201cTell me I\u2019m too old for an outfit without telling me I\u2019m too old for an outfit.\u201d <\/p>\n

The Bravo star had a quick fashion comeback on Instagram<\/a>, however, when she posted the outfit she wore on May 3 for dinner at the popular Miami Beach restaurant Carbone Beach. The look included a metallic dress with a disco ball-like pattern from the brand Retrofete<\/a>\u2014a piece her fans were far more excited about.<\/p>\n

\u201cOMG I love this,\u201d one person wrote, adding, \u201cI swear you get better with age. What a bod! Forever fans of yours.\u201d<\/p>\n

Neither the positive nor the negative comments seemed to sway Frankel too much in either direction. In the caption of her May 4 Instagram<\/a> post, which showed off a slinky salmon-colored Herv\u00e9 L\u00e9ger bandage dress, she wrote, \u201cDon\u2019t mind me, i\u2019m just eating \ud83c\udf5d #yourewelcome.\u201d <\/p>\n
