Brampton residents are invited to see all the changes at the newly-renovated South Fletcher\u2019s Branch Library at a grand-opening celebration on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
The city says the renovation was a complete \u201cfloor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall\u201d revamp of the 14,000 square foot library branch which first opened in 1996.<\/p>\n
With updated spaces for programming, the branch features more natural light from new exterior windows and interior glass walls, spacious browsing and comfortable open-concept seating areas.<\/p>\n
The library has also added two large rooms for programs and study, a creative room, two small meeting rooms, a youth room, and a room for community partners including Library Settlement Partnership staff.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith separate areas for different uses, the Library is satisfying the need for both quiet and collaborative space,\u201d said Brampton Library CEO Todd Kyle.<\/p>\n
The renovated branch officially opened in March, but will host a ribbon cutting on Tuesday with the city inviting residents to see all the new South Fletcher\u2019s has in store.<\/p>\n
The event will run on May 5 at 11 a.m., with activities continuing throughout the day until closing at 9 p.m.<\/p>\n
