He finished <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/golf\/liv-golf-south-africa-final-payouts-prize-money-winnings\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">tied for 48th out of 57 players<\/a>. He also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/golf\/masters\/phil-mickelson-withdraws-2026-masters-citing-family-health-issue\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">missed the Masters<\/a> and his status for next week\u2019s PGA Championship is not resolved at this time.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-2\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6x\">The six-time major winner became the oldest major champion at age 50 when he won the PGA five years ago at Kiawah Island. He was T2 at the 2023 Masters after a final-round 65 but in 11 major starts since then has seven missed cuts and no finishes inside the top 40.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-3\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"70\">His replacement in the LIV field has yet to be announced.
