A man was shot dead in broad daylight at a Surrey business on Monday afternoon (May 4).<\/p>\n
The shooting happened at an office complex at 13049 76 Ave., where Surrey Police and IHIT (Integrated Homicide Investigation Team) officers remain on scene.<\/p>\n
A Black Press freelancer on scene reported the call came about 3 p.m. Monday.<\/p>\n
Surrey Police has confirmed that at about 3:03 p.m. on Monday, officers responded to calls of a shooting at a business in the 13000-block of 76 Avenue and found a man apparently suffering from gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n
Officers provided medical assistance until BCEHS arrived but, despite-life saving efforts, the man was pronounced dead on scene.<\/p>\n
No arrests have been made, and there is no suspect information to share at this point, SPS says.<\/p>\n
IHIT has now taken over the investigation and is working in partnership with SPS to complete priority investigative tasks.<\/p>\n
The office complex remains behind police tape.<\/p>\n
