\n\tWarner Bros. Pictures has released the trailer for the forthcoming horror film \u201cEvil Dead Burn<\/a>.\u201d Directed by S\u00e9bastien Vani\u010dek, the sixth installment in the \u201cEvil Dead\u201d franchise is slated to hit theaters on July 10.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing 2013\u2019s \u201cEvil Dead\u201d and 2023\u2019s \u201cEvil Dead Rise,\u201d \u201cEvil Dead Burn\u201d is the third standalone entry into the franchise. Souheila Yacoub (\u201cDune: Part Two\u201d), Hunter Doohan (\u201cWednesday,\u201d \u201cDaredevil: Born Again\u201d), Luciane Buchanan (\u201cThe Night Agent\u201d), Tandi Wright (\u201cPearl\u201d) and George Pullar (\u201cIt Only Takes a Night\u201d) are all set to star in the film.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAfter the loss of her husband, a woman seeks solace with her in-laws in their secluded family home,\u201d the logline reads. \u201cAs one by one they are transformed into Deadites \u2014 turning the gathering into a family reunion from hell \u2014 she comes to discover that the vows she took in life\u2026 live on even in death.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe grisly trailer begins with a mother at home interrupted by a knock at the door. The guest is revealed to be an undead corpse with chopped-off fingers and a car headrest through her skull. The car accident that caused the horrifying injury is later revealed, along with the Deadite zombie drinking burning candle wax and a painful encounter with a knife-filled dishwasher.<\/p>\n

\n\tSam Raimi first began the horror franchise with his 1981 director debut, \u201cThe Evil Dead,\u201d which followed five friends in a cabin in the woods as they accidentally released horrifying demons.\u00a0 \u201cEvil Dead II\u201d came in 1987, followed by \u201cArmy of Darkness\u201d in 1992.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tBruce Campbell originally starred in the initial film, and returns to executive produce alongside director Lee Cronin (\u201cEvil Dead Rise\u201d).\u00a0Raimi produces alongside Rob Tapert under the Ghost House Pictures banner.\u00a0 The film is co-financed by New Line Cinema and Sony Pictures. Sony Pictures will handle international distribution through Columbia Pictures. The seventh installment in the \u201cEvil Dead\u201d franchise, \u201cEvil Dead Wrath,\u201d is already in development for 2028.<\/p>\n
