Two clinics in Mississauga and Brampton now have extended service hours to help parents with hands-on infant feeding support.<\/p>\n
With a growing number of births and more than 17,000 babies born in 2024, the need for more postpartum support has also increased, according to the region.<\/p>\n
\u201cInfant feeding support is a critical, time-sensitive intervention that directly impacts the long-term health of both mother and baby,\u201d Peel Public Health says.<\/p>\n
Peel Public Health nurses provided free infant feeding support at more than 3,500 appointments in 2025, and as of Monday, there are extended hours at Baby Feeding Support clinics.<\/p>\n
\u201cExpanding service hours in the Baby Feeding Support clinics means more families will be able to access support in a timely manner, helping set the foundation for healthy outcomes for both parent and baby,\u201d Peel Public Health says.<\/p>\n
Now open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, the Baby Feeding Support clinics are located at 10 Peel Centre Dr. in Brampton and 6975 Meadowvale Town Centre Circ. in Mississauga.<\/p>\n
Appointments are made available to residents following a referral from a healthcare provider, local hospitals and through Peel\u2019s Multichannel Contact Centre.<\/p>\n
