{"id":650715,"date":"2026-05-06T03:38:12","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T03:38:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/650715\/"},"modified":"2026-05-06T03:38:12","modified_gmt":"2026-05-06T03:38:12","slug":"surrey-man-targeted-fatally-shot-while-at-work-investigators-say-bc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/650715\/","title":{"rendered":"Surrey man targeted, fatally shot while at work, investigators say &#8211; BC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\tDescrease article font size<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\tIncrease article font size<\/p>\n<p>The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) says that <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/news\/11830328\/person-shot-killed-surrey-office-building\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Monday\u2019s brazen afternoon shooting<\/a> appears to be targeted and connected with a business on the second floor of the office building.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/70c8fc80.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The shooting happened at 3:03 p.m. at a business near 130 Street and 76 Avenue in Surrey.<\/p>\n<p>IHIT said the victim was a man in his 30s who was at his place of work at the time of the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators said the victim had no criminal history and was not previously the target of any reported threats or extortion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can confirm that it is targeted,\u201d Sgt.
