{"id":650737,"date":"2026-05-06T03:52:11","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T03:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/650737\/"},"modified":"2026-05-06T03:52:11","modified_gmt":"2026-05-06T03:52:11","slug":"tempo-sign-calgarys-yvonne-ejim-to-training-camp-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/650737\/","title":{"rendered":"Tempo sign Calgary&#8217;s Yvonne Ejim to training camp contract"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Toronto signed Calgary&#8217;s Yvonne Ejim to a training camp contract, the WNBA team announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Ejim played last season in Spain with IDK Euskotren, averaging 9.8 points and 5.9 rebounds over 27 games. <\/p>\n<p>The Gonzaga product was selected by the Indiana Fever 33rd overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft, but was waived before the season began. <\/p>\n<p>With Gonzaga, Ejim was a two-time WCC player of the year. <\/p>\n<p>After Ejim&#8217;s addition, the Tempo now have 16 players under contract. For the regular season, each WNBA team is allowed to carry 12 players on its roster with two developmental slots.<\/p>\n<p>The Tempo will have to cut down their roster before they open their inaugural season against the visiting Washington Mystics on Friday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Toronto signed Calgary&#8217;s Yvonne Ejim to a training camp contract, the WNBA team announced Tuesday.
