The Arizona Cardinals<\/a>, like a handful of teams, right now, don’t have their long-term answer at the quarterback position.<\/p>\n

With Gardner Minshew<\/a> and Jacoby Brissett<\/a> as likely the top two options, after that, it is Carson Beck<\/a> and Kedon Slovis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So that room isn’t exactly one that will strike fear into a defense in 2026, will it?<\/p>\n

But for Cardinals receiver Kendrick Bourne<\/a>, who swapped San Francisco<\/a> for Arizona this offseason, he’s making a plea to a certain veteran quarterback who has yet to make a decision on his future.<\/p>\n

And that’s unbelievably, Aaron Rodgers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cardinals don’t need Rodgers<\/p>\n

In my opinion, there is no need at all for the Cardinals to go after a 42-year-old quarterback who, while still playing some good football last season, isn’t a long-term option.<\/p>\n

At best, Rodgers is there for one year, and the Cardinals are a so-so team.<\/p>\n

They won’t threaten the NFC.<\/p>\n

The current quarterback options aren’t that great for Arizona, but I’d imagine there’s an eye on the 2027 draft, so going forward with the group the franchise has is the better move here.<\/p>\n

Plus, how much improvement will Rodgers bring to the Cardinals? Maybe a little.<\/p>\n

Still, the Rodgers-to-the-Cardinals rumors are laughable, mainly because it’s May and no one has any idea whether he’ll return. Meaning, precious days are being wasted when he could be learning the playbook and everything else a franchise quarterback does.<\/p>\n
