Yeah. And we just finished scripting and Sunil and I were going to go to Japan for a 10-day.\u201dSai Pallavi added, \u201cYeah. Yeah. I think I remember first recce we had hired nobody like there was just Mansour, papa\u2019s Nihas Pandan, Sunil and me&#8230; there was nobody else.\u201dJunaid continued, \u201cJust before we were supposed to go for two weeks, we were discussing casting and he was like Sai Pallavi&#8230; this is her film, she\u2019s not going to do this, she\u2019s doing so many big films&#8230; in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi.\u201dSai Pallavi on choosing the filmExplaining why she said yes, Sai Pallavi said, \u201cIt\u2019s not about small or the scale of a film that drives me. I think at that point of time in life I\u2019d done a lot of&#8230; films which were quite heavy and I wanted to do something that was light and didn\u2019t have me carry a lot of trauma.\u201dShe added, \u201cSo when the script came along, I thought this is going to be in the zone of Before Sunrise&#8230; and I love Aamir sir&#8230; he diversified his whole creative sector&#8230; so I thought this is going to be a different experience.\u201d&#8217;I thought I was miscast&#8217;Despite her excitement, Sai Pallavi admitted she was unsure of herself. \u201cI was very scared&#8230; I think I\u2019m a little extra serious&#8230; and I thought I was a miscast.\u201dJunaid immediately disagreed, saying, \u201cYou are absolutely wrong&#8230; when I watched the movie&#8230; I was just quiet for a while&#8230; and you were so good.\u201dSai Pallavi recalled, \u201cI said, \u2018I don\u2019t think I was meant to do this. I think I\u2019m a miscast.\u2019 And he\u2019s like, \u2018What are you saying? You are so wrong.\u2019 I don\u2019t know&#8230; I feel someone else was meant to do this.\u201dJunaid stood firm: \u201cNot a chance&#8230; I saw the film&#8230; only dialogue track&#8230; no background score&#8230; and you were just spectacular.\u201dOn performance and language pressurePraising her further, Junaid said, \u201cI don\u2019t think I\u2019ve seen somebody play drunk so well at all and you don\u2019t drink.\u201dSai Pallavi admitted, \u201cI was dreading&#8230; I don\u2019t know how to play drunk&#8230; sometimes you overdo it or don\u2019t hit the mark.\u201dShe also opened up about speaking Hindi on screen for the first time. \u201cThey kept saying you speak Hindi the way you do&#8230; I said I would like to dub. They said, \u2018Dub? We\u2019re doing live sound.\u2019 That shook my world.\u201d\u201cThe first time I speak Hindi in a movie and you\u2019re doing live sound&#8230; it\u2019s a lot of pressure&#8230; but they said it sounded adorable, so I went with it,\u201d she added.Junaid on learning filmmaking and theatreTalking about his journey, Junaid shared, \u201cMy first job on a film set was as an AD&#8230; I was 19&#8230; it was one of the last films shot on 35mm&#8230; so I learned the brick and mortar process of filmmaking.\u201dHe added, \u201cI really enjoy stage&#8230; I\u2019ve spent a lot of time there.\u201dShooting in Japan and on-set momentsThe duo also spoke about filming in Japan. Sai Pallavi said, \u201cI can\u2019t risk my knees&#8230; I\u2019m a dancer&#8230; but this time it was for the movie&#8230; I really liked the snow.\u201dJunaid recalled, \u201cWe had like 20 people on skis&#8230; none of them knew how to ski&#8230; I would take the lift up and ski down.\u201dThey also shared a candid moment from a scene. Junaid said, \u201cYou actually fell asleep&#8230; it was so natural&#8230; but we couldn\u2019t use it because it looked like a mistake.\u201dSai Pallavi laughed, \u201cBetween takes I would just sleep and then wake up for the shot.\u201d&#8217;You can\u2019t outgrow <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/aamir-khan\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Aamir Khan<\/a>\u2019s shadow&#8217;Opening up about identity, Junaid addressed being Aamir Khan\u2019s son. \u201cThe shadow of being Aamir Khan\u2019s son \u2014 you\u2019re never going to outgrow.\u201d\u201cIt\u2019s neither positive nor negative&#8230; he\u2019s been a movie star for 35 years. I\u2019m not competing with that anytime soon.
