The Saskatchewan Roughriders opened rookie minicamp<\/a> on Wednesday as the first on-field steps of the 2026 CFL season are now underway.<\/p>\n

While there aren\u2019t a lot of starting spots seemingly up for grabs, there are a few areas where someone will need to step up for the defending Grey Cup champions.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Riders\u2019 main camp begins on Sunday, with many of the veterans reporting for the first time. A lot of eyes will be on quarterback Trevor Harris<\/a>, as he looks to lead the Riders to their first-ever title repeat.<\/p>\n

Jamie has been the host of The Green Zone since its inception in 2013 and is respected across Canada for his award-winning work, covering and commenting on sports. He grew up in Lumsden, Sask., and has gone from being a fan of the Riders to one of the go-to experts on the club. He hosts the pre- and post-game show with Darrell Davis and Belton Johnson.<\/p>\n
