VTuber Ironmouse has called out Neverness to Everness<\/a> after the game was hit with accusations of using AI-generated content.<\/p>\n

The backlash started after players pointed out several moments in-game and in promotional footage they believed showed signs of AI use<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One viral post highlighted a scene that closely mirrored imagery from Makoto Shinkai\u2019s anime<\/a> film Weathering with You, while another showed an in-game TV advertisement that appeared to have strange image distortions. <\/p>\n

During her latest stream, Ironmouse<\/a> claimed the developers had assured her team there was no AI involved in the project before the controversy surfaced online.<\/p>\n

Ironmouse speaks out about NTE AI controversy <\/p>\n

\u201cThey had told my people that there\u2019s no AI in it. It\u2019s so crazy,\u201d she said. \u201cBro, I would never have known. I didn\u2019t know until I saw that thing on Twitter after the stream,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people @ me with stuff, so I saw it, and I\u2019m like, what the f**k bro? They told my sponsor people and said, \u2018we do not have AI in anything, there\u2019s no AI anywhere.\u2019 And it\u2019s like, why are you f**king lying, bro?\u201d<\/p>\n

Ironmouse later confirmed she had removed the game, saying it was the \u201cfastest uninstall\u201d of her life, before explaining that she specifically asks sponsors to confirm whether AI is used before agreeing to partnerships.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst off, here\u2019s the problem, whenever I get sent an offer of a sponsor or something, I always make sure to tell people, \u2018Can you make sure, double triple, quadruple check that this does not have AI in it. I will not accept it if it does,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then after they assured me, \u2018no, you\u2019re good, it\u2019s fine,\u2019 I then found out it\u2019s not fine, I was like what the f**k\u2026What do you think that I don\u2019t have eyes?!\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, developer Hotta Studio has not publicly confirmed whether AI-generated assets appear in the final version of the game. However, the studio previously addressed concerns around AI usage in a developer interview, stating that \u201cour core assets and character portraits will never touch AI.\u201d<\/p>\n
