{"id":654556,"date":"2026-05-07T21:32:14","date_gmt":"2026-05-07T21:32:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/654556\/"},"modified":"2026-05-07T21:32:14","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T21:32:14","slug":"16-year-old-girl-identified-as-victim-of-fatal-sw-calgary-stabbing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/654556\/","title":{"rendered":"16-year-old girl identified as victim of fatal SW Calgary stabbing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A teen girl has been identified as the victim of a fatal early morning attack in a southwest Calgary neighbourhood.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency crews were called to the area of 24 Street and Woodview Drive SW in the community of Woodlands around 5:40 a.m. for reports of a stabbing.<\/p>\n<p>Police say a teen girl had been involved in a fight with an unknown person near 24 Street and Woodview Drive SW. She was critically injured and died before she could be taken to hospital.<\/p>\n<p>An autopsy completed on Thursday confirmed her identity as 16-year-old Angeline Boucher.<\/p>\n<p>A suspect has not yet been identified and police believe the attacker fled the area before officers arrived.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators think the weapon may have been discarded in the area. Residents are being urged to call police if they find any sharp objects in garbage bins or surrounding areas.<\/p>\n<p>Police do not believe it was a random attack.
