She wasn’t very happy.<\/p>\n

Women’s British tennis star Emma Raducanu did some crying of her own on Monday<\/a> after calling for her match to be halted due to an upset baby in the stands.<\/p>\n

While facing off against Aryna Sabalenka in yesterday’s Cincinnati Open, Raducanu stepped off the line in the third set and addressed the tournament’s umpire about the infant’s crying.<\/p>\n

“It’s been like 10 minutes,” the 2021 US Open champion said<\/a>, referring to the child.<\/p>\n

“It’s a child,” the umpire replied. “Do you want me to send the child out of the stadium? … I can call in, but we need to continue for the moment.”<\/p>\n

Raducanu shrugged and appeared to have support from some members of the crowd. But that support didn’t seem to extend online:<\/p>\n

“Tennis players are the real babies,” a user posted.<\/p>\n

“she’s just like me fr (hates babies),” another commented.<\/p>\n

“Disgraceful behavior from the diva @EmmaRaducanu,” a fan claimed. “You are not [losing] because of a baby crying in the stand, you are losing because you are [worse] than @SabalenkaA.”<\/p>\n

“Is [it] the player making more excessive noise than the baby? \ud83d\ude02” another person laughed.<\/p>\n

“lol can’t even play ball with some noise,” another user said.<\/p>\n

“Get the petulant child out of the stadium\u2026..Emma that is,” a viewer quipped.<\/p>\n

“She’s an embarrassment.”<\/p>\n

Raducanu went on to hold serve but ultimately fell to her three-time Grand Slam opponent in a thrilling back-and-forth battle.<\/p>\n

That wasn’t the story of the match, however, as Emma’s moment of frustration<\/a> ended up going viral around the internet and potentially cost her some fans.<\/p>\n
