{"id":655222,"date":"2026-05-08T04:28:17","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T04:28:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/655222\/"},"modified":"2026-05-08T04:28:17","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T04:28:17","slug":"mark-cuban-joins-cebls-brampton-honey-badgers-ownership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/655222\/","title":{"rendered":"Mark Cuban joins CEBL&#8217;s Brampton Honey Badgers ownership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Article content<\/p>\n<p>Mark Cuban has become a big shark in a little pond.<\/p>\n<p>Article content<\/p>\n<p>The former majority owner of the NBA\u2019s Dallas Mavericks and co-host of hit TV show Shark Tank has joined the ownership group of the CEBL\u2019s Brampton Honey Badgers.<\/p>\n<p>Article content<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian Elite Basketball League team made the announcement Thursday morning, with Cuban saying he\u2019s \u201cexcited to be part of the team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-async=\"\">\u201cCanadian basketball is probably the most underappreciated in the world,\u201d <a data-evt-val=\"{\" control_fields=\"\" link=\"\" said=\"\" in=\"\" a=\"\" press=\"\" release=\"\" on=\"\" the=\"\" cebl=\"\" website=\"\" data-evt=\"click\" data-evt-typ=\"click\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cebl.ca\/billionaire-entrepreneur-mark-cuban-joins-brampton-ownership-group\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cuban said in a press release on the CEBL\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe talent here is through the roof and getting better by the day.
