{"id":655311,"date":"2026-05-08T05:26:14","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T05:26:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/655311\/"},"modified":"2026-05-08T05:26:14","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T05:26:14","slug":"rescued-sea-otters-moving-from-vancouver-aquarium-to-quebec","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/655311\/","title":{"rendered":"Rescued sea otters moving from Vancouver Aquarium to Quebec"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Four of 10 rescued sea otters currently living at the Vancouver Aquarium are moving to Quebec.<\/p>\n<p>The move is intended to support the opening of the new Aquarium du Qu\u00e9bec sea otter habitat.<\/p>\n<p>As well, the Vancouver Aquarium says it will make room for future rescued sea otters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Vancouver Aquarium is currently the only aquarium in Canada with a sea otter habitat, but with the Aquarium du Qu\u00e9bec now welcoming these animals, that circle of care is growing,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis expanded capacity means more rescued, non-releasable otters can receive the specialized support they need.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Several of the aquarium\u2019s sea otters were rescued as orphaned pups.
