A 48-hour closure of the emergency department at the Richards Landing site on St. Joseph Island is planned for this weekend.<\/p>\n
The North Shore Health Network says the emergency room will shut down at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 9. It\u2019s not scheduled to reopen until 8 a.m. on Monday, May 11.<\/p>\n
Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should still call 9-1-1. Ambulances will be re-routed.<\/p>\n
