Provincial police have charged a Brampton man after seizing more than 100 grams of opium in a raid.<\/p>\n
The investigation into suspected drug trafficking started in April, the OPP\u2019s Community Street Crime Unit says.<\/p>\n
Officers from Collingwood and Orillia assisted in the investigation, and police say a residence and a vehicle in Brampton were searched.<\/p>\n
Approximately 116 grams of opium, an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency, cell phones, digital scales and packaging materials were seized, investigators say.<\/p>\n
The OPP says Puneetpal Singh, 23, of Brampton has been charged with multiple offences including two counts of trafficking in a schedule I substance \u2013 opioid.<\/p>\n
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton at a later date.<\/p>\n
