The extra funds will help the franchise cover the rookies&#8217; contracts.<\/p>\n<p>Headlined by <a target=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/ca\/nfl\/carolina-panthers\/news\/2026-nfl-draft-panthers-1st-pick-monroe-freeling-introduce\/aba58e2fe86af5e9e816e1d8\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">first-round draft pick Monroe Freeling<\/a>, <a target=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/ca\/nfl\/carolina-panthers\/news\/nfl-rookie-minicamp-panthers-ink-draft-picks-udfa-playerspa\/6a191a7f78af858354c7b6c2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">six of the seven draft picks<\/a> from April agreed to deals Thursday, one day before the start of rookie minicamp in Charlotte, N.C.<\/p>\n<p>Panthers&#8217; Jaycee Horn helps team out financially<\/p>\n<p>Horn signed his landmark contract before the 2025 campaign. Oft-injured early in his career, the 26-year-old posted 37 tackles, eight passes defended and five interceptions last season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Pairing Horn with Mike Jackson, the Panthers employ one of the top cornerback duos in the league. They have been <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thecharlottepost.com\/news\/2024\/11\/22\/panthers\/panthers-jaycee-horn-mike-jackson-create-chemistry\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">developing secondary chemistry<\/a> since 2024.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We really push ourselves to get better,&#8221; Jackson said last season. &#8220;We pick apart each other&#8217;s games.
