Throughout its run, Prime Video\u2019s The Boys\u00a0has been adding Supernatural\u00a0alums to its cast. Both shows share Eric Kripke as a creator and showrunner, and he\u2019s made it his mission to bring in actors from his former show into his new one. Former Dean Winchester Jensen Ackles was the big get as Soldier Boy<\/a>, and now the superhero show\u2019s final season has brought in his two big former co-stars, Jared Padalecki<\/a> and Misha Collins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Prime Video released an alternate cut from the scene in last week\u2019s episode \u201cOne-Shots\u201d where the three\u00a0Supernatural\u00a0stars share a scene together. In the episode proper, Padalecki\u2019s Mister Marathon and Collins\u2019 Malchemical knock out Homelander and pitch Soldier Boy on turning against his son. But the newly released video plays it differently: instead of Marathon and Malchemical, Padalecki and Collins are Sam and Castiel are trying to turn Dean to their side by highlighting every bad thing Homelander\u2019s done, in a very Supernatural way.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s taking Chuck\u2019s name in vain!\u201d cries Sam\/Marathon, followed by Cas\/Mal going, \u201cThey wanna ban porn! They wanna ban Busty Asian Beauties!\u201d To anyone who had Supernatural in their heart like that (or at least watched the first five seasons), the digression is a fun bit of \u201cdoing the thing\u201d that lets\u00a0The Boys\u00a0get off\u00a0a good amount of jokes in a short bit of time, as long as you ignore how ADR\u2019d it comes off. It\u2019s also meta in another way, as one of Supernatural\u2019s\u00a0most famous episodes\u2014the season five episode \u201cChanging Channels\u201d\u2014saw the Winchesters forced into participating in several TV shows.<\/p>\n

Given how things end for Marathon and Malchemical, it\u2019s probably good the Winchesters aren\u2019t in The Boys. And in these final two episodes, we\u2019ll see how well Soldier Boy gets off.<\/p>\n
