{"id":660529,"date":"2026-05-10T16:45:20","date_gmt":"2026-05-10T16:45:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/660529\/"},"modified":"2026-05-10T16:45:20","modified_gmt":"2026-05-10T16:45:20","slug":"na-hoku-awards-announce-2026-honorees-and-album-of-the-year-finalists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/660529\/","title":{"rendered":"Na Hoku Awards announce 2026 honorees and Album of the Year finalists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) &#8211; The Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts has announced several honorees and finalists ahead of the <a href=\"https:\/\/harahawaii.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/harahawaii.com\/\">2026 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">This year\u2019s Legacy Awards will be presented posthumously to Abigail Laau and David John \u201cDJ\u201d Pratt of the group Kalapana.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The organization also announced its 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award recipients:<\/p>\n<p>Henry Kapono KaaihueLedward KaapanaKealii ReichelNa Leo PilimehanaLeon &amp; Malia <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented in November 2026 at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel\u2019s Monarch Ballroom.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Final ballot nominees for Album of the Year were also revealed:<\/p>\n<p>Mele Punana Leo\u00a0\u2014 Kahuli Leo Le\u02bbaKuu Lei Lokelani\u00a0\u2014 Anthony PflukeEi Nei, Look At Us\u00a0\u2014 Ei NeiManaiakalani\u00a0\u2014 Kamalei Kawa\u02bbaStrictly Originals\u00a0\u2014 EkoluDrifting On Island Time\u00a0\u2014 Kalae Camarillo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The full list of final ballot nominees for the 2026 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards will be released Wednesday, May 13.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The awards ceremony is scheduled for July 11 at the Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort\u2019s Hawaii Ballroom.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Hawaii News Now.
