Mitchell’s wins were part of a seven main event evening for NASCAR Armed Forces Night which also included Hall of Famer Tony Hunt taking the NCMA Sprint Car feature and 2025 INEX Legends champion Robby Czub prevailing in the 2026 INEX Legends season opener.

Mitchell led the way in time trials, earning possession of the pole position for the first 40-lap race. Mitchell paced the first six laps before a caution flag for Bella Thomsen of El Dorado Hills spinning out. Mill Valley’s Monty Tipton used the high line to drive into the lead. Mitchell regained the position two laps later. Oakdale’s Hayden Stepps and Auburn’s Thomas Martin collided in a race for fifth to bring out the caution on lap 24. Fort Bragg’s Trey Daniels challenged Tipton for second place, taking over the spot on lap 33. Mitchell managed to keep Daniels at bay for the win, followed by Daniels, Tipton, Auburn’s Colton Nelson, and Stepps.

An eight-car inversion for the second feature flipped the script on the field. Martin led the way while ferocious battling developed behind him. Daniels and Long Beach’s Donald Witkowski tangled in turn one to bring out the yellow flag on lap 13. Tipton chose the outside of Martin on the restart but couldn’t complete a pass. Mitchell quickly drove through the field, passing Tipton for second before a caution flew on lap 21. Mitchell battled past Martin on the restart, taking the lead on lap 24. Joey Kennealy of Madera and Stepps then had a hard crash in the fourth turn on lap 25, ending Kennealy’s race.

The final 15 laps were led by Mitchell comfortably while Daniels won a drag race with Martin for the second position at the line. Nelson and Tipton rounded out the top-five.

Tony Hunt overcame a collision with Shauna Hogg to bounce back and win the NCMA Sprint Car 30-lap feature. A lead quartet of Dan Gonderman of Antioch, Hunt, Hogg, and Ceres’ Tony Amador raced closely together. Hunt and Hogg exchanged cross overs before contact locked their wheels and sent Hogg spinning to a stop on lap 11. Hogg rejoined the race at the tail of the field.

Hunt overhauled Gonderman on the restart. The caution flew again on lap 25 for Tylor Amador spinning. Hunt squared off with Tony Amador for several laps before managing to pull away. Tony Hunt claimed victory at his home race track with the 10-time USAC champion topping Tony Amador, Gonderman, Jerry Kobza, and Scott Clough.

2025 INEX Legends champion Robby Czub of Rocklin opened the season with a victory in an exciting 30-lap feature. Turlock’s Antonio Gonzales led the first six laps until a spin for Freddy Irvin brought out a caution flag. Manteca’s Chad Nascimento used the top to drive into the lead on lap seven. Gonzales stayed in touch, using a cross over to drive back to the lead on lap 11. Czub overcame his eighth starting position, taking over second place on lap 14. Czub and Gonzales battled closely for the lead until Czub completed the winning pass on lap 27. Czub claimed the $500 win courtesy of Bob Jahn’s Roofing followed by Gonzales, Friday winner Rick Andersen of North Highlands, Rocklin’s Braden Judge, and Nascimento at the finish.

2024 Stockton 99 Speedway champion Josh Cross of Manteca used a last lap pass to take the 30-lap NASCAR Mini Stock feature ahead of multi-time Roseville champion Ray Molina of Elverta. Lincoln’s Brandon Frantz led the first two laps before Molina took over. Side-by-side lapped traffic with just six laps to go allowed Cross to close in. Cross dove to the inside of Molina in turn four driving to the finish, winning by a nose. Vic Theberge of Citrus Heights finished third followed by Vikki Theberge and Frantz.

Tyler Wentworth is now a two-time 2026 winner, with the 2025 champion winning Saturday’s 25-lap NASCAR Modified feature. Auburn’s Thomas Martin led the final 11 circuits before Wentworth was able to make the decisive pass. Jose Hernandez rounded out the podium finishers.

NASCAR Street Stock action was a close contest between recent Stockton winner Sam Reynolds and 2025 champion Tim Walters. Walters narrowly held off Reynolds for the popular victory with Terry Thomas, Jr. of Antelope returning for a third place finish.

All American Speedway hosts the NASCAR Spring Smash on May 30 with NASCAR racing and a Demolition Derby.
