Joey Logano made his feelings clear on Ryan Blaney\u2019s new Penske contract.<\/a><\/p>\nKeselowski said: \u201cI don’t get surprised very much, so I wouldn’t say surprised. You know, I’m glad that there’s an appeal process. Ryan’s gonna go through all that, whenever they get it booked. I don’t think they have it scheduled at this time.<\/p>\n
\u201cI’ve been a part of a couple of them and generally, I feel like they’re a pretty fair process. So it’s good that the sport has something like that, you know to work through when there’s a difference of opinions. Certainly appreciate the process and I\u2019m wishing Ryan the best.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe line\u2019s always moving, right?\u201d Keselowski added. \u201cI say that in somewhat jest because, man, I\u2019ve done a lot of jobs in the sport. The one job I haven\u2019t done, and I don\u2019t think I probably ever will, is be a NASCAR official.<\/p>\n
\u201cWatch me eat those words, but that said, man, that\u2019s a tough job. You know, I think you see some sports that have race stewards. I would like to see NASCAR have race stewards. I think it would probably make it easier on them when calls like that are so difficult, and I think you saw a difficult call (Friday) in the truck race with the restart zones, and man, those are really tough calls, and I\u2019m glad I don\u2019t have to make them. But I respect their position, respect how they\u2019re trying to do what they think is best for the sport, that\u2019s for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n
Preece and Gibbs have not discussed the incident since it happened, and Gibbs said there was not much point in doing so at this stage.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, yeah, probably not,\u201d he said. \u201cI mean, there\u2019s not much to talk about there.<\/p>\n
\u201cI mean, yeah, it sucks. We got destroyed there, but obviously, that was last week, and we\u2019ll let NASCAR figure that out.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut yeah, we have a wrecked race car and lost a lot of points for going three-wide bottom and not making any contact. So I think it\u2019s pretty \u2026 yeah, I don\u2019t know, but we\u2019ll just keep going this weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n
Discussing the punishment, Gibbs added: \u201cI haven\u2019t looked that much into that, but obviously, if you say you\u2019re gonna wreck somebody and you do it, that\u2019s obviously an issue NASCAR\u2019s said in the past.
