The organization has reportedly approached the Sedins about increasing their involvement, and the twins are said to be weighing that opportunity. Inspired in part by how the Toronto Maple Leafs structured their leadership group (including Mats Sundin)\u2014adding experienced voices in advisory roles\u2014Vancouver could follow a similar model.<\/p>\n

Sundin had to relocate his family, but the Sedins are already embedded within the organization and city, making a transition easier if they choose to accept. Their influence could play a significant role in shaping the Canucks\u2019 future.<\/p>\n

Maple Leafs Expect Berube Back, Matthews\u2019 Long-Term Outlook Looms<\/p>\n

In Toronto, the expectation is that head coach Craig Berube will return behind the bench next season. Mitchell then wonders if McDavid trusts the current management team to right the ship. General manager Stan Bowman and CEO Jeff Jackson have both faced criticism for roster decisions and asset management. There are questions about whether ownership fully trusts them to handle a critical offseason, or whatever happens with McDavid under contract if another year is wasted. <\/p>\n
