A 16-year-old Brampton boy has been charged with second-degree murder after an altercation in Oshawa on Saturday, Durham Region police say.<\/p>\n

Police responded to reports of an armed person near Simcoe Street N. and Winchester Road E. at approximately 8:10 p.m., police said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.<\/p>\n

They located one man suffering “traumatic injuries,” who was pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n

Police said two groups of men had a physical altercation outside of a Tim Hortons in the area. The suspect, along with several other men, fled on foot, they said.<\/p>\n
