Benedict Cumberbatch was seen getting into a verbal altercation with a fellow cyclist in London<\/p>\n

In a video shared by Straits Times, a masked man on a bike called the Marvel star \u201cdeluded,\u201d accusing him of running red lights<\/p>\n

Cumberbatch can be heard denying the claims and saying the man \u201cverbally abused\u201d him<\/p>\n

Things got heated in the bike lane between Benedict Cumberbatch<\/a> and a fellow cyclist.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram video<\/a> shared by Singaporean newspaper Straits Times on Monday, May 11, the British star, 49, was seen getting into a verbal argument with another man on a street in London.<\/p>\n

Amid onlookers, the two were filmed confronting each other after the cyclist accused Cumberbatch of breaking the rules of the road by running red lights.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re deluded, you\u2019re lying,\u201d the cyclist, wearing a face covering, can be heard saying. \u201cI was behind you the entire time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The clearly frustrated Dr. Strange star denied the man\u2019s claims, saying, \u201cDude, you verbally abused me. I braked my bike to stop you.\u201d The cyclist\u2019s sarcastic response was, \u201cOh no, I verbally abused you because you completely and repeatedly broke the law.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, I didn\u2019t,\u201d responds Cumberbatch, adding, \u201cOnce. And I admitted to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

PEOPLE has reached out to representatives for Cumberbatch for comment.<\/p>\n

According to Page Six<\/a>, the altercation lasted about 10 minutes before the other man left, and Cumberbatch then agreed to pose for photos with young fans who had assembled.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was crazy,\u201d an eyewitness told the outlet, saying the shouting biker had followed the star and “doubled down on his rage” when he saw it was Cumberbatch. \u201cIt was such a pompous road rage it almost felt like it had been staged.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another onlooker appeared to step in, per the video, seemingly defending Cumberbatch, saying, “I know he’s not perfect.”<\/p>\n
