Two days of practice are now in the books at Winnipeg Blue Bombers training camp and here are some notes and quotes from Day 2\u2026<\/p>\n

OUCH REPORT<\/p>\n

-No sign of and no update on LB Jovan Santos-Knox after he was taken from the field after suffering an injury early in Sunday\u2019s practice session.<\/p>\n

He was to provide some veteran depth to the position group along with Tony Jones and Kyrie Wilson and special teams ace Michael Ayers along with veteran Canadians Tanner Cadwallader, Connor Shay, Jaylen Smith and Lane Novak and three 2026 CFL Canadian Draft picks in Charles-Elliott Bouliane, Ethan Stuart, Brody Clark.<\/p>\n

-The Blue Bombers first pick in this year\u2019s draft \u2014 defensive end Nuer Gatkouth \u2014 should be arriving on Tuesday after attending rookie mini-camp over the weekend with the Denver Broncos.<\/p>\n

FIRST IMPRESSIONS<\/p>\n

Head coach Mike O\u2019Shea and new offensive coordinator Tommy Condell have never worked together despite their long association with the CFL.<\/p>\n

Here are O\u2019Shea\u2019s thoughts on the club\u2019s new OC:<\/p>\n

\u201cHe carries a ton of energy. I even asked him the other day, \u2018OK, what are the signs, what do I have to look out for when your day is a little quiet?\u2019 He said, \u2018Nah, I\u2019m good. Right through to the end I\u2019m good.\u2019 And I said, \u2018All right. This is going to be impressive to watch.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cHe brings a lot of energy into the room all the time and obviously he\u2019s been doing this for a long while, too. So, he\u2019s got a ton of answers and the way he approaches the room, he asks a lot of questions and wants a lot of participation.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s very comfortable. He\u2019s OK with the way he does things and he\u2019s very smart. I find he tries to make things easier for everybody else, too, so he\u2019s not caught up in \u2018Here\u2019s how we\u2019re doing this\u2019 he\u2019s more, \u2018This makes a lot of sense\u2026 I\u2019ll learn it, just forgive me when I don\u2019t have the verbiage right.\u2019 He\u2019s very good at what would benefit the group, he\u2019s going to change a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n
