The City of Decatur will host the 2026 and 2027 NAIA Women\u2019s Soccer National Championships, affirming its status as a prime venue for collegiate sports events.<\/p>\n
DECATUR, Ala. \u2014 The City of Decatur is set to remain on the national stage for collegiate athletics after securing another major championship event at the Jack Allen Recreation Complex.<\/p>\n
The City of Decatur and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced Monday a two-year agreement to host the NAIA Women\u2019s Soccer National Championship in 2026 and 2027.<\/p>\n
Under the agreement, Decatur will host the 43rd annual championship from Nov. 30 through Dec. 7, 2026, before welcoming the tournament again the following year. The event will bring the top 16 women\u2019s soccer teams in the NAIA to compete for a national title.<\/p>\n
The announcement was made on-site during the 2026 NAIA Men\u2019s and Women\u2019s Lacrosse National Championships, which are currently underway at the Jack Allen Recreation Complex.<\/p>\n
City leaders say the continued partnership reflects Decatur\u2019s growing role as a destination for national sporting events.<\/p>\n

Officials said the agreement builds on the success of previous events hosted in the city and is expected to bring athletes, coaches, families and fans from across the country to Decatur over the next two years.<\/p>\n
