{"id":665383,"date":"2026-05-12T22:50:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T22:50:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/665383\/"},"modified":"2026-05-12T22:50:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T22:50:08","slug":"crash-between-semi-trucks-leads-to-charges-for-brampton-man-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/665383\/","title":{"rendered":"Crash between semi-trucks leads to charges for Brampton man: police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police have charged a Brampton man following a crash between two semi-trucks that left one person injured.<\/p>\n<p>The OPP says the two-vehicle collision happened around 4:40 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Highway 401 in the Township of Alnwick\/Haldimand, approximately 75 kilometres east of Oshawa.<\/p>\n<p>Police say two tractor-trailers collided and one of the drivers was rushed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The highway was closed for several hours and reopened around 9 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>But police say a second driver from Cobourg was also charged after driving on the closed roadway.<\/p>\n<p>The OPP says a 43\u2011year\u2011old male from Brampton has been charged with careless driving and unsafe move \u2013 lane or shoulder.
