Rory McIlroy and his wife, Erica Stoll, made a rare public appearance together before the 2026 PGA Championship.<\/p>\n

After winning back-to-back Masters titles, Rory McIlroy could win his seventh major title at the 2026 PGA Championship.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old took a three-week break following a historic win at the Masters before returning to play at the Truist Championship, where he tied for 19th place. Before making his way to Pennsylvania\u2019s Aronimink Golf Club this week, McIlroy spent quality time with his wife, Erica Stoll<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The couple attended the White House\u2019s state dinner in honor of King Charles and Queen Camilla, and their joint cameo debuted in the movie, \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada 2.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI know how fortunate I am and so lucky to be in this position in life, and sometimes you have to enjoy the perks, because I know that this isn\u2019t going to last forever,\u201d McIlroy told reporters<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s going to be a day where I\u2019m not sitting up here and I\u2019m not competing for major championships and I\u2019m not doing what I\u2019m doing. So I guess while I\u2019m doing it, I have to enjoy it, as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Rare Photo of Rory McIlroy and His Wife, Erica Stoll, Emerged on Social Media<\/p>\n

McIlroy and Stoll, who share a daughter, Poppy, 5, have always kept a very low profile. The golfer rarely posts about his personal life on social media, and Stoll prefers to stay out of the spotlight.<\/p>\n

The only public photos of the couple are from McIlroy\u2019s title celebrations or golf-related events, which is why the latest picture of the two immediately drew attention.<\/p>\n

Stoll looked stunning in a black lace gown alongside McIlory at the White House. One fan commented, \u201cReally a beautiful couple with the most gorgeous little girl\u2764\ufe0f.\u201d Another fan gushed, \u201cErica is stunning. Beautiful appropriate gown, \ud83d\udcaf class & elegance.\u201d<\/p>\n

McIlroy and Stoll briefly separated after the golfer filed for divorce in May 2024, during which he cited their marriage was \u201cirretrievably broken.\u201d However, they called off the divorce a month later.<\/p>\n

When McIlroy appeared in Netflix\u2019s \u201cFull Swing\u201d documentary, he did so on the grounds that Stoll would not have to be filmed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI made sure that the parameters were very much like, look, you can film me at \u2014 you\u2019re not coming to my house<\/a>, you\u2019re not coming in my car, you\u2019re not coming anywhere near my family, but you want to do some stuff with me at golf tournaments, totally fine,\u201d he told the Golf Channel in 2023.<\/p>\n

However, Stoll was the reason McIlory agreed to appear in \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada 2.\u201d McIlory explained on the \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast earlier this month, \u201cI won The Players\u2019 Championship last year and they asked me afterwards, \u2018What did you do last night to prepare?\u2019 I said, \u2018I had dinner and got back to the room and I watched The Devil Wears Prada.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cThe director, David Frankel, somehow got wind of it, so the team reached out and said, \u2018Look, Dave was wondering if you\u2019d want to do some sort of cameo. I said to my wife Erica, \u2018Eh, what do you think?\u2019 and she\u2019s like, \u2018Yeah, absolutely!’\u201d McIlory asked if Erica could be in it, too, and the producers immediately said yes.<\/p>\n

They \u201cspent the day in New York\u201d to film the cameo, which turned out to be \u201cthe most unbelievable experience,\u201d McIlroy said.<\/p>\n
