The Fisherman and his mean hook are back in legacy sequel I Know What You Did Last Summer, but he\u2019s hardly alone when it comes to horror releases. Keep your dance card wide open this weekend, because nine brand new ones have released at home and in theaters this week. It\u2019s another packed week for horror!<\/p>\n

Well Go USA released South\u00a0Korean exorcism horror movie Dark Nuns on Digital and Blu-ray\/DVD this past Tuesday, July 15.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0Dark Nuns, \u201cAfter learning that the priest cannot arrive in time to save a young boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit, two nuns take on the dangerous forbidden exorcism ritual themselves in direct violation of the Church\u2019s sacred order\u2014putting both their lives and their immortal souls in grave danger.\u201d<\/p>\n

Song Hye-Kyo, Jeon Yeo-Been, Lee Jin-Wook\u00a0(\u201cSquid Game\u201d, \u201cSweet Home<\/a>\u201c), and\u00a0Moon Woo-Jin\u00a0star.<\/p>\n

Dark Nuns\u00a0is directed by\u00a0Kwon Hyeok-Jae.\u00a0The supernatural thriller is a spinoff to the 2015 horror\u00a0film,\u00a0The Priests<\/a>, which also released on Digital and physical media, centered around \u201cA young girl is possessed\u00a0by one of the 12 manifestations of evil after a hit and run accident. Father Kim and a young rebellious seminarian conduct one last exorcism to free her from the demon\u2019s powerful reach.\u00a0They\u00a0all\u00a0must battle within their dark inner past\u00a0in order to\u00a0save themselves and the world around them.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\"M3GAN<\/p>\n

Taller, stronger, faster and now unrated,\u00a0M3GAN 2.0\u00a0is now available on Digital as of July 15.<\/p>\n

Written and directed by\u00a0M3GAN\u00a0helmer\u00a0Gerard Johnstone, the sequel is produced by\u00a0James Wan\u2018s Atomic Monster and\u00a0Jason Blum\u2018s Blumhouse.<\/p>\n

Four cosplaying best friends accidently unleash a zombie apocalypse in ZombieCON Vol. 1, now available on VOD.<\/p>\n

In the film, \u201cA group of cosplaying best friends must constantly battle closed-minded society just to do what they love \u2013 cosplay their favorite heroes. When a fated encounter triggers a zombie apocalypse in which all assholes are turned into zombies, the group must embody the heroes they revere, don their cosplay armor and collectable katanas, and traverse a zombie-infested Los Angeles to save their loved one.\u201d<\/p>\n

The film is directed by Kyle Valle (ZombieCON, \u201cClass Act,\u201d \u201cAss Lounge\u201d), who co-wrote with stars Manny Luke and Erin \u00c1ine. After failing to keep his wife\u2019s dying wish, a man believes he\u2019s being haunted for revenge\u00a0in\u00a0Bury Me When I\u2019m Dead. The psychological horror thriller is now available on VOD in the US before releasing in the UK on July 28.<\/p>\n

It marks the feature debut of writer-director\u00a0Seabold Krebs.<\/p>\n

The film follows \u201cHenry as his life spirals out of control. When Catherine is diagnosed with brain cancer, they travel to her childhood home, where he promises to bury her in a remote forest. Meanwhile Henry\u2019s been keeping a secret: their friend Rebecca is pregnant with his child. After Catherine\u2019s sudden death, Henry breaks his promise and returns her body to the city under threat from her powerful father, Gary.<\/p>\n

\"Woken\"<\/p>\n

Irish horror film Woken marks\u00a0feature debut of director\u00a0Alan Friel\u00a0(director of the 2017 short film\u00a0Cake). It\u2019s also now available on Digital.<\/p>\n

The film is \u201cset against a post-apocalyptic scenario in which the isle provides a safe haven from a pandemic that has\u00a0decimated earth. The pic\u00a0sees the protagonist Anna (Kellyman) wake up\u00a0pregnant and unable to remember who her husband is. Nor does Anna recognize Helen and Peter\u00a0who are supposedly helping her get her health back.<\/p>\n

\u201cDisbelief in what she is being told leads to a horrible revelation and Anna having to contend with existential issues brought on by man\u2019s destruction of the planet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Erin Kellyman\u00a0(Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Green Knight) stars alongside Maxine Peake\u00a0(\u201cAnne,\u201d \u201cRules of the Game\u201d) in the film, \u201cset on a remote island in the North Sea.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
