Lindsey Houghton says that the assault occurred \u201cbetween a number of people who were possibly roommates and people who know each other.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are several people with varying injuries who have gone to the hospital, but nothing appears life-threatening,\u201d he said in a written statement. <\/p>\n<p>Police add that the incident is neither gang-related nor extortion-related.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere has been no shooting,\u201d Houghton explained.<\/p>\n<p>Images from the scene show multiple BC Emergency Health Service (BCEHS) ambulances and police crews on scene.<\/p>\n<p>Videos show paramedics carrying at least two people on stretchers and transporting them to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>1130 NewsRadio has reached out to the BCEHS for more information.<\/p>\n<p>This is a developing story.
