President Trump called out the NFL<\/a> during Colin Kaepernick<\/a>‘s national anthem protests in 2016. He suggested that the league was doing the wrong thing. He did not hesitate in his criticism.<\/p>\n Then, fast forward to recent years, and President Trump has been critical<\/a> of the NFL’s gameplay. He hates the league’s new kickoff rule. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!\u201d he wrote in a Truth Social media post.<\/p>\n President Trump has repeatedly “warned” the NFL that they are ruining their product. That “warning” continued this week.<\/p>\n President of United States doubles down on NFL ‘warning’<\/p>\n President Trump is warning that the NFL is alienating its fan base by moving more and more games to streaming platforms.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n He thinks the NFL could ultimately lose its massive audience.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s tough,\u201d Trump warned\u00a0during the interview<\/a> with Full Measure. \u201cYou\u2019ve got people that love football. They\u2019re great people. They don\u2019t make enough money to go and pay this. It\u2019s tough. And they could be killing the golden goose.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThey have to be careful because, you know, others have tried this, and all of a sudden you don\u2019t have a sport anymore,\u201d Trump warned. \u201cThere\u2019s something very sad when they take football away from many, many people. Very sad. I don\u2019t like it.\u201d<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n President Trump isn’t sure what the answer is, though he made it clear that he doesn’t like it.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know,\u201d Trump said. \u201cBut I don\u2019t like it. I don\u2019t like it. They\u2019re making a lot of money. They could make a little bit less. They could let the people see. You have people that live for Sunday. They live \u2014 they can\u2019t think about anything else, and then all of a sudden, they\u2019re gonna have to pay $1,000 a game. It\u2019s crazy.
