{"id":668572,"date":"2026-05-14T09:03:09","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T09:03:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/668572\/"},"modified":"2026-05-14T09:03:09","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T09:03:09","slug":"cato-cormier-to-lead-summer-art-sessions-at-millennium-library","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/668572\/","title":{"rendered":"Cato Cormier to lead summer art sessions at Millennium Library"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Winnipeg Public Library is welcoming illustrator and comic artist Cato Cormier as its newest Maker-in-Residence at the Millennium Library this spring and summer.<\/p>\n<p>Cormier will be based out of the library\u2019s ideaMILL\u00a0 makerspace, where she will lead weekly drop-in studio sessions from May 25 to August 21, offering the public a chance to explore illustration, comics, zine-making, and animation.<\/p>\n<p>Cormier, originally from Montreal and now living in Winnipeg, describes her creative work as \u201csometimes boisterous, sometimes sentimental,\u201d featuring unusual and eccentric characters.
