There\u2019s a mysterious fireworks show going down over the water in Toronto this evening, and on the eve of his latest album release, Drake fans are in detective mode.<\/p>\n
The city issued a statement warning that tonight at 10:45 p.m., a firework show will take over the sky for a dazzling 10-minute firework display on the water at Harbourfront Centre.\u00a0<\/p>\n

City officials shared that the display is permitted as part of a private video shoot and has been coordinated in accordance with applicable City of Toronto requirements.<\/p>\n
\u201cResidents in the surrounding area should expect brief loud noises and bright flashes of light during the fireworks display,\u201d City of Toronto Director of Communications, Russell Baker, said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWe recommend keeping pets indoors and notifying household members who may be sensitive to noise or light,\u201d Baker continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe display will be brief, and we thank the public for their understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fireworks just before Drake\u2019s Iceman drop<\/p>\n
While it\u2019s unclear from the city\u2019s statement just who will be shooting on the waterfront, the display is coming less than two hours before Drake is set to drop his 11th studio album, Iceman.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Toronto-born rapper has been the focus of many fans of the genre in the past few weeks. His ice block stunt<\/a>, which included the creation of a 15-by-20-foot ice structure that was constructed in a parking lot near Bond St, saw fans in Toronto go wild with curiosity<\/a> over his next project.<\/p>\n Fans have also speculated that the rapper has recently been filming visual elements for the upcoming album at the CN Tower.<\/p>\n
