Connor Zilisch was injured in a fall from his car in victory lane after winning last weekend\u2019s Xfinity race at Watkins Glen.<\/p>\n
Shane van Gisbergen, a teammate to Zilisch, stood on the roof of his car on the track after winning last weekend\u2019s Cup race at Watkins Glen but did not do so in victory lane.<\/p>\n
\u201cI always have bad dreams of slipping over and doing at that in front of everyone,\u201d van Gisbergen said. \u201cBut I just got out like I normally did, but I definitely didn\u2019t get on the roof in victory lane.\u201d<\/p>\n
Denny Hamlin, on his \u201cActions Detrimental\u201d podcast<\/a> this week admitted that his victory lane celebrations could be impacted by Zilisch\u2019s fall.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m going to think about it from now on,\u201d Hamlin said. \u201cMaybe I should just, when I pop out, just sit my butt right on the top, just sit there.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s going to have to be a group decision,\u201d Justin Marks said of when Connor Zilisch will be back in a car.<\/p>\n After winning at Las Vegas in March, Josh Berry stopped his car at the start\/finish line and climbed on to the roof of his car. When he went to victory lane, Berry stood on the door of his car.<\/p>\n But that could change. Berry said he thinks every driver will look at how they celebrate a win after Zilisch\u2019s fall.<\/p>\n \u201cThat was just so frightening to see,\u201d Berry said Wednesday. \u201cYou take for granted how things can go. I think we\u2019ll think about it more when you see something like that. I think you\u2019re going to think about whether the \u2026 window net ends up on the door.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
