{"id":670760,"date":"2026-05-15T08:09:19","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T08:09:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/670760\/"},"modified":"2026-05-15T08:09:19","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T08:09:19","slug":"nelk-boys-rental-suv-stolen-in-oakville-found-in-brampton-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/670760\/","title":{"rendered":"NELK Boys rental SUV stolen in Oakville found in Brampton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Popular YouTube group NELK Boys posted video of their rental vehicle being stolen outside their Airbnb in Oakville, Ont. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A popular YouTube group known as the NELK Boys have become the latest victims of auto theft in the GTA. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The group, who are behind an account with more than 8.4 million subscribers, posted a series of videos to social media this week after they said that their rental vehicle was stolen from outside an Airbnb in Oakville, Ont.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The incident happened sometime overnight between May 12 and May 13.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Halton Regional police told CP24 that they were contacted about an auto theft involving a Chevrolet SUV in the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019re staying in Canada, Airbnb in the suburbs&#8230; walk out to go to the gym this morning, look for our rental car&#8230; it\u2019s f***** gone,\u201d Kyle Forgeard, a Mississauga, Ont., born member of the group said in a video posted Wednesday morning. \u201cLook how nice this neighbourhood is too&#8230; someone came in the middle of the night and stole our rental car.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Forgeard said in the video that while the car was a rental, he was upset because his golf clubs and other belongings were in the car. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">However, just hours later, at 7 p.m., the creators <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/nelkboys\/status\/2054701458012950604?s=20\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"https:\/\/x.com\/nelkboys\/status\/2054701458012950604?s=20\">posted another clip<\/a> appearing to show an officer on FaceTime telling them the SUV had been located in Brampton, Ont., with their belongings still inside.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1778832559_870_QZNUK2K6INEL5EBPHT7IG7XA5A.png\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/>NELK A Facetime video with a Peel regional police officer in May 2026 (@Kyle via Instagram). <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Peel police later confirmed to CP24 that officers recovered a stolen, unoccupied SUV in the area of <a href=\"https:\/\/share.google\/MphsoUYECVFCZZ6G6\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/share.google\/MphsoUYECVFCZZ6G6\">Queen Mary Drive and Mayfield Road<\/a> in Brampton.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThis is an open and ongoing investigation. Therefore, we will not be providing any further details at this time,\u201d officials wrote. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">By Thursday, the group then posted security camera footage.
